DCCollectors: How did you get into collecting Darkseid collectibles and what was your first Darkseid toy/collectible?

Evan Schwichtenberg: I became a fan of Darkseid because of the Super Powers show in the 80’s, but my first toy was the DC Direct 2-pack Orion and Darkseid in 2001.

DCCollectors: How many pieces are in your collection?

Evan Schwichtenberg: In my entire DC collection including comics – it’s in the thousands. Ever action figure I own, I have two of – one loose and one mint on card.

DCCollectors: If you could only choose one item to keep, which one would it be and why?

Evan Schwichtenberg: Probably my Prime 1 Studio New 52 Darkseid, because it’s a flawless work of art. The detail in the sculpt and the paint application is amazing.

DCCollectors: What is the one Darkseid item that you want to add to your collection?

Evan Schwichtenberg: The recently announced XM Studios Justice league vs Darkseid diorama.

DCCollectors: What piece of advice do you have for those just starting their collections?

Evan Schwichtenberg: Only collect what you have a passion for and don’t get sucked into the hype of certain pieces just because they’re popular among the collector community.
